Looking for a forever home.

Meet Josie, a 40 pound, 1 year old female Shepherd/Basenji/Terrier mix. Josie was rescued from a local animal shelter to help them relieve some of their burden.

Josie is an energetic and playful girl who loves playing rough house and chasing her foster sibling around the yard. She has the energy and attention span of a young puppy. Her favorite toy is a rubber Kong, that allows her to chew till her heart's content. She does enjoy her snuggle time before bed. She is doggy door trained, and house trained. She sleeps soundly thru the night in her crate. She makes a good watch dog; letting you know when someone is around.

Josie is looking for a home with a large securely fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. She would do best in a home without small children. Very high on her wish list would be a family who loves outdoor activities and will give her lots of playtime to help expend some of her energy. Since she loves to play rough and tough, she would do best with another dog close to her size and energy level.

Josie is spayed, received all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on flea and heartworm prevention.

Her adoption fee is only $75.
