Moonie's Story...
Look at this face. Just LOOK at this face. THIS. FACE.
Moonie is a 2 year old spayed female, a babe and a conversation piece. She loves people, dislikes other cats (not intensely so there may be hope if there is a right cat and a patient open minded human doing introduction. However, there is NO doubt that Moonie loves people (especially if they pet her and scratch her chin).
Moonie was rescued from a kill list in a municipal shelter. There is absolutely no reason why she should die.

Moonie is 2 years, old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and tested negative for FIV and FELV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moonie, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
