Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB April 1, 2011.
Peach was surrendered by her owner who could no longer care for her. Being in a new environment, she has trust issues and growls when she is nervous. She has gradually become more comfortable in her foster home, and although she doesn't like to be picked up, she is very social and likes to be around people, and will sometimes approach her foster mom and climb on her lap for a pet and cuddle.
Peach loves the laser pointer and will scamper around chasing it. Because of her weight she gets tired fairly quickly, but it is great for her to get as much exercise as she can. She is very overweight (10kg), and has some sensitive areas on her body that she will make her cry out when touched. Her foster mom believes this could be due to her discomfort with her weight. Although her weight prevents her from climbing up onto high places she still tries her best to scramble up onto beds & furniture - she falls a lot but at least she still tries. She hasn't given up on herself so please don't give up on her! With some measured eating and lots of laser pointer playtime, Peach can get to a healthy, happy weight again!
