My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elvis is a 3.5 year old boy who is well trained and good with dogs. He frequently goes to the bark park to have a good time and has never been in a fight. He has gone through extensive professional training, and he is even remote collar trained. His walk is excellent on a flat collar. He auto sits when his handler stops. He sits and lays down immediately upon request. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is very protective of his home and family. I would not want to be an intruder in his house that is for sure. He has been food aggressive in the past and would not put my hand in his bowl or anything crazy like that, but it is easy to manage. For this reason, small kids are not recommended. Elvis grew up with cats in the house since he was just a small pup. For the first two years of his life he had 99 problems but the cat wasn't one. His first family ask us to find him a new home, because they had one baby starting to table walk and one on his way. It was too much to make sure that Elvis and the baby were supervised at all times. so we rehomed him with a couple who had no children, no dogs and 4 cats. For some reason. Elvis did not do so great with the new cats, so his new owner sent him to new trainer for more training. Elvis improved with the cats and seem to come to a point where he no longer made them nervous when they were together. Unfortunately, they forgot that Elvis is still a dog with a prey drive and they trusted him to much, and the other day he was left alon wit one, and he went after it and injured it pretty awful, and his owner had to put their cat to sleep. That closed the 2nd chapter in Elvis' life, and he was returned to our rescue. s here we are nearly two years after the last time we rehomed him, with Elvis in the building again! We don't mind him hanging with us for a bit before we figure it out though. He is a really cool dude! He is happy, smiling, and listens and does whatever I tell him. He gets along with all the other rotties in the yard. And we have no cats, so that is no problem. He is completely potty trained, and does not mark all over everyhing, like most males will at first. That gives me much respect for him! Please fill out our questionnaire, located under the forms tab on www.rottenrottie.com, if you are interested in meeting Elvis.
