Facts about Mara

  • Breed: American Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Standard
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 23831221
  • Hair: Short
Mara is a four-year-old rabbit with a confident personality. She isn't used to being held and doesn't always know what to do with her legs, but we're helping her figure it out. She's a little bit independent, but the more time she spends with volunteers, the more she opens up her personality.

If you want to meet her, complete the online application: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7G98MGG or contact Suzanne at 724.766.9399 or at suzanne.muth@gmail.com; but realize that Mara will not be adopted as a pet for children. She deserves to be a family member, not treated like a toy. She may live for another 10 years or more, so be ready to commit to her for the rest of her life when placing an application.

About Animal Rescue League of Western PA

About Our Shelter...

Mission Statement: The Animal Rescue League’s mission is to provide temporary shelter, food, medical attention, and comfort to all abandoned, neglected and injured animals brought to us by the community; to restore lost animals to their owners or seek new homes for them, and to educate the public about the humane care of animals with a goal of reducing overpopulation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our adoptable animals are available daily at out shelter. We also occasionally have events off-site. Check out website for more information.

Our Adoption Process...

Requirement for adoption include:
1. Having all members of the household meet the animal
2. Dog meet-and-greets at the shelter if there is another canine in the home
3. Proof that dogs are allowed in the home including a lease and/or addendum if renting or proof of ownership if the home is owned (ownership can also be checked using the county assessment site if available).
