My story

Say hello to Trey! This adorable 8-year-old Corgi mix is in need of a new home. Trey is perfectly house trained and loves long walks on his leash. He is social and loves to be around people, but shows no signs of separation anxiety – he can be left alone in the house for most of the day. He loves strangers and will jump on them with excitement to greet them; he has a special love for the UPS man (he knows the sound of the truck coming!) Trey is also highly intelligent and knows commands for sit, come and stay.

Trey’s family adores him, but he has shown some aggression lately towards his family members and they think he would be a happier and less anxious pup with owners who can enforce good leadership skills – this is extremely difficult for them, but they have his best interest in mind.

Trey will need a human(s) who takes the time to patiently teach him boundaries and rules. Trey is very intelligent and will take advantage of a situation with no limitations; he wants to be the leader of the pack. He'd probably do well with agility training as well. He has never lived with other animals, but seems to get along well with small dogs. Due to his aggression, he would also need a home with no children.
