IDGSR WELCOMES BUDDY INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!
Buddy came to IDGSR with a disturbing problem with his eye, when we saw him in the high intake shelter we knew no one would want him because of his eye, most people are looking for perfection.
However Buddy is more than just an eye, he is a wonderful loving dog. Despite this birth defect
he has an amazing gentle character, he is engaging, affectionate and wants to be close to his persons. Buddy is being fostered in a home with cats so he is cat friendly.
Buddy did see a doggie opthamalogist and they advised there is nothing to do to his eye, if on occasion it can be rinsed with saline solution.
His eye in no way inhibits him and in fact many times our handicapped dogs seem to have extraordinary characters and Buddy certainly does.
Buddy is a well behaved EASY dog, Buddy will be a wonderful family member.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
