Ziggy's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Ziggy's Story...
Ziggy was found by one of our foster mum's. He was just dumped on her street which happens a lot. We did try to find his owners and checked to see if he was chipped but nothing. He was very skinny when we found him. We got him checked out and current on all shots. He is heart worm negative and on monthly prevention. I am afraid we don't have any history on him. He is about 5 years old and around 70lbs. He is in a foster home with a 6 year old little boy and is fine with him. We are not sure on cats. We think he would be best in a home as an only dog as he does not like other dogs around when he is eating. We think this is down to him being starved, this does happen a lot to a starved dog. He is a lab mix, not sure what else he is mixed with, as it is very hard to tell. He is a sweetheart. He is looking for that home where he never has to worry about where his next meal will come from and have a warm blanket to lay his head on.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Ashburn Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ashburn, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ashburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
