My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"You, my brown eyed girl"….Van Morrison must have written this song about Bellini, because when you see those puppy eyes, you will WANT her to be YOUR brown eyed girl! Bellini is thought to be a red coon hound/lab mix, and has puppy eyes that will melt your heart. Her personality is just as endearing! She is just as happy playing as she is relaxing and being a great laid back dog, pretty amazing for a puppy! In her foster family, she shares a home with two human children ages 9 and 15, a big blind mutt, and two cats. She is happy with all of them! She loves to play with toys, but will sit and chew on a bone and entertain herself as well. She is great on a leash, and loves exploring with her little hound nose. She has done amazing with her training thus far, and is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands like sit, wait and shake. She was previously a "shared" foster puppy and did well with her other foster family's pack of three dogs playing in their fenced in yard and home. She LOVES other dogs, people and even her feline friends! If you are looking for a puppy that is just as happy being "chill" and playful, Bellini is the dog for you! She was likely born late February 2015, and will most likely mature into a medium sized dog that will fill your heart with joy!

AS WITH ALL YOUNG PUPS, this puppy will need constant supervision when not crated. Puppies will chew and get into trouble as any puppy would. A puppy needs a leader and someone to teach the basics of house training, obedience, and behavior. At the ages of 10-16 weeks, puppies tend to tire easily and take lots of naps. As they get older, they will need more exercise (walks, hikes, playing fetch, etc) to expend their energy and to be happy and healthy.

Don't get us wrong, we love puppies! However, we also want those interested in adopting a wee canine to make a thoughtful decision, be realistic in behavior expectations, and be prepared to provide proper and kind leadership.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
