Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fennel is a 10 week old lab mix, who already weighs 21 pounds. He and his sisters were placed with Adopt A Pet when their owner couldn't find good homes for them: she wanted them to be inside dogs and treated as part of the family. We know Fennel's mom is a 60 pound short legged black lab; dad, we were told, is probably a black dog with a tan face that runs loose in the neighborhood. We know Fennnel grew up with other dogs, cats, pigs, and children. He came to us already crate trained, and is well on the way to being potty trained.
Because he is still a baby, he should not be left alone for long hours and will need a stay-at-home person to continue his housebreaking, socialization and general obedience. He will be ready for puppy school soon after adoption. You can meet Fennel at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first. Fennel's date of birth is 2-26-15 and his adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, distemper combo and bordetella vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heart worm preventative, microchip and neuter.
Fennel is a calm, easy-going puppy who likes to assess the situation before he commits his energy and enthusiasm. He loves a good cuddle, and will be a wonderful addition to any family.
