Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Marlin! He's a 12 week old lab mix, whose mom was a stray. Someone in the neighborhood kept his eye on the pups, and took them to a vet for rescue when the mom left. (He also fed them fish scraps, which is why they are named after fish!) Although these pups didn't grow up in someone's home, they were very quick to respond to human attention and affection. As you can see by his pictures, Marlin is good with older kids! We also know that he is well on his way to being potty trained.
Marlin is the most outgoing of all his siblings. He and his twin sister Mora have "beards" and long, wiry hair; it is just a guess that they are part wire-hair terrier or pointer based on their appearance.
Because Marlin is still young, he should not be left alone for long hours and will need a stay-at-home person to continue his housebreaking, socialization and general obedience. He will be ready for puppy school soon after adoption. You can meet Marlin at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first. Marlin's date of birth is 2-14-15 and his adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, distemper combo and bordetella vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heart worm preventative, microchip and neuter.
