Fredrick!'s Info...

Fredrick!'s Story...
Fredrick and his chow mix buddy, Theodore, were just rescued from the streets where they had been living for months. They seem to have acclimated well into the pampered life and are getting used to being considered part of the family. These guys get along well, but should do ok being separated. Obviously they get along with other dogs and we will be testing them with kitties soon. Fredrick is about 13lbs and probably should be closer to 15-18 or so. He is a good boy who seems to like riding in cars...he really adores being near his person!
Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fredrick!, a Sacramento Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
