Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hamilton, AKA Hammy, AKA Ham-alama-ding-dong, AKA McSquishyFace! This distinguished looking fellow has been over-looked for too long now and while he's got your attention he is not throwing away his shot! This boy loves everyone he meets be they people or dogs. Can't say he's too fond of cats, but hey, cut a pup some slack.
As his foster Mom, I honestly do not know why he hasn't found his forever home yet. He is crate-trained, house-trained and an all around happy dog. Maybe his missing eye makes him look scary? Nothing could be further from the truth. Photos don't seem to capture his happy, tail-waggin personality. Is he too big? Again, photos lie! When people meet him in person for the first time they ALL remark that he is so much smaller than they thought. I guess pictures capture his big heart, not his stature. Does he look fat & lazy? He's got a playful streak and likes walks at the park. Does he now sound too active? Never fear, he will sit still to cuddle as long as you'll let him! Especially if you'll rub his belly.
I guess it's his breath. I admit, it is a bit stinky. But they do have treats for that. I think you just need to meet him. You won't be able to help falling in love. Because if you give him a chance, Hamilton will win your heart!
Hammy is a male Shar Pei mix born ~May 2011. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
