My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, look at me! I am Baby, the super talkative and acrobatic Blue Front Amazon! Ta-DA! What? Not impressed? You are sure to be amazed by my silly antics and energetic personality! Why do I have so much energy you say? Well, it's kind of a long story, but hey that is the only stories I know. In November 2014, I came to my foster home in bad shape physically and emotionally. My dad had passed away and he was everything to me. My dad didn't really teach me about the birds and the bees, so I never liked the lady of the house. Anyway, I was sick and under weight, my foster parents were very worried about me. After some urgent vet care to make sure I am stable, doc was able to take some blood and run tests. You see, I had really bad clogged nares and didn't breathe so well. They found an abscess and a lot of gross infection stuff. Doc had to flush everything out over a series of visits. Meanwhile, my foster parents were being me all the medicines prescribed. Finally, after nearly two months the infection in my nares didn't come back. I think that is when I decided I really like food! I get the best stuff in my foster home, fresh fruit, veggies, pellets and some fabulous stuff called chop! I started to gain weight and climb around much better now that I am getting stronger. I've got lots of new feathers coming in, my foster dad has been helping me get the ones on my head. I love my foster dad so much, but I really don't care much for foster mom. I will let her touch my feet when I am hanging on the side of my cage and on a rare occasion I will let her give me a quick scratch on the head. Other than that, I will go to my foster dad when he asks me to. I just talk and whistle with excitement when I am with him. I really like to talk, I will mumble and argue with myself all day. My foster parents laugh at some of the things I say. But what I want to say most of all is how much I need my forever home! If you're interested in an active older bird and love talking, I am your guy! Interested in adoption?
