My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Poppy. I'm a fully house broken terrier mix, I weigh a little less than 25 pounds and I'm in good health. I have been in good health my whole life which has been long and exciting up to this point. Would you believe from this picture I'm 16 years old? My owners can't believe it either but there are a few things that you should know that comes with my years of experience. I can't see or hear perfectly anymore but that doesn't mean I can't run and have fun. Because of my limitations I need a fenced yard and not very many steps. Also because of my age my current family with small children make me nervous so ideally I'd live with some grown ups who are experienced dog owners who love walks with a leash (I tend to wander if I'm not on a leash and because of my eyesight and hearing I can't find my way home). What I'd really like is to not go to shelter so if you don't mind someone who is a little shy at first I can work my way into your heart in no time.
