Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! I'm Jade and I am as precious as my name suggests. I am a 3-month-old female Cocker Spaniel mix puppy. I'm only 9 pounds right now, but I still have some growing to do.
Obviously, I am super, duper cute, but there's more than good looks going on here. I just so happen to have an amazing personality to match. I'm sweet, loveable, and gentle. I'm also very well-behaved. I'm not a big chewer and I don't get into things much. Honestly, I'm mostly concerned with sitting in your lap and snuggling up against you. I am a huge cuddle-bug so hopefully that's one of the qualities you're looking for in a new furry companion.
Now that you know a little about me, let me tell you how I came to be a CageFree dog. Back in the beginning of May I was brought to a local high-kill shelter as a stray. I was in really bad shape! Infested with fleas, labored breathing, and hind legs that wouldn't work. I had most likely been hit by a car.
The staff at the shelter took X-rays and found out that I suffered from pulmonary contusions. They also suspected that I could have some pelvic fractures causing my legs to not work. I was put on medication and strict cage rest. Over the next couple of days I started to feel much better. My lungs were clear and I was able to walk again. I moved pretty slowly, but I could at least get around a bit. Turns out, I had only bruised my pelvis and not fractured it. Thank goodness! I'm still a little sore, but not enough to keep me from running around and playing.
CageFree heard about me through a volunteer at the shelter and decided to welcome me into their rescue. I couldn't have been more happy to hear the news. Now I spend my days hanging out with all my new human companions while they work really hard to find me a new forever home that is safe and secure, so that I never come in contact with a car's tire again.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to come meet me. If so, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree to schedule an appointment!
