My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~"Gus"

Age:7-9 months

Breed: Greyhound Mix

Height: 24in.

Weight: 45lbs.

Color: Dark grey with white markings

Coat: short and smooth

He is a very sweet and affectionate baby boy. He is fun-loving and enjoys playing. He is good with children, dogs of all sizes, cats and horses. He is usually quiet but also watchful. He rides well in vehicles and does good on trail rides. He is great for the vet, grooming, and bathing. He comes when called by his name and whistling. He is completely housebroken. He has been neutered and is current on all shots and preventitives to include the rattlesnake vaccine. He has no known injuries or illnesses. Best suited to an active person/family, preferably with a playful dog. Will make a great running/jogging/hiking/riding partner.

Found on July12, 2014. No collar, worn pads, fleas, underweight, and scared. Behaved as if he had never been in a vehicle or house before. He warmed up quickly and has learned a lot. Seems to prefer women to men.

I have strict requirements on his care. He will only go to an exceptional home that he wants to stay at. References are required. He is not a hunting dog. He is not a show dog. He is not a lawn ornament. He is a family member. ***If you fall on hard times and are unable to properly care for him, then he will be given back to his previous guardian.***

Needs: Well-informed guardian. Consistent schedule. Washable dog bed. Elevated food/water bowls. Clean fresh water daily. Bones daily. High quality dry food. Many toys. Excellent health care. Well-fitting comfortable collar. Large, tall fenced in yard. Plenty of excercise. Clean environment/bowls/bed/yard. Reliable alternative caregiver. Endless supply of love.

Will be ready to start meeting prospective new families after the 19th of July.
