Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, my name is Boots. I’ve been a very happy cat for as long as I can remember. But a few months ago, I started to feel badly. It became painful for me to use the bathroom and I had a few accidents. I tried to tell my mom what was happening, but I don’t think she understood. Instead of taking me to the vet, she took me to the poud to “surrender me”. I didn’t really understand what was happening, and I was still in a lot of pain. I was very sad when I realized my mom wasn’t coming back for me.
Not long after I arrived at the pound a nice lady from Henrico Humane Society saw me and took me in. She took me to the vet, who found very large kidney stones. He gave me some medicine and finally I don’t hurt anymore!
There’s been quite a bit of change lately, and I would love to find a home where I can be queen of the castle. I love attention, and prefer to keep it all for myself, so a house without other cats is the one for me. I do love to pal around with dogs, even though they talk funny!
If you'd like to meet me, please email cats@henricohumane.org to setup a visit. Don't forget to tell them you want to meet Boots!
