MEET SOPHIE….a smart, fluffy, 4 yr old, tri colored, 14 lb, Shih Tzu, who has had a tough life but it’s about to get much better! This little girl’s humans adopted her from the shelter 3 years ago. Then, once the baby came, she was immediately banished to the garage and yard. Now her humans are moving, and they were going to dump her back in the shelter. Why get a dog if you are not going to love her? So sad. The neighbors said, “She is too special to be treated like this” and called us. Sophie has a lot of energy and lives to play. She is a bit dominant and likes to perch on high places, but she is not in the least bit aggressive! She gives lots of kisses, loves toys and chewies; she loves to go on walks but needs some practice on the leash! She is friendly with everyone but definitely could use training to make her the best companion she could be. Sophie is very smart, listens and will be easy to train! This little girl has been deprived of love and attention, so the right home for her will include patience, training, a yard for her to play in and another dog for her to be her companion….and love….lots and lots of love and attention. Do you have any to spare? Kids over 8 yrs old welcomed.

Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets. \r\n\r\nHere you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check!
