Duke is a ~3 year old mixed breed male who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. He gets along really well with other dogs including small dogs. Duke is a little skittish at first (especially of men) and takes some time to learn he's safe and can trust you. Once you show him that you mean him no harm he will enjoy pets and belly rubs. Other than his fear of new people, Duke is a super mellow, gentle, sweet dog! He can jump VERY high so we are hoping for a home with a tall privacy fence for him. Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.

About Adopt A Pup Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

A strictly volunteer licensed corporation, not for profit, Adopt A Pup was established in 2012 and is dedicated to saving homeless, stray, and unwanted dogs not only in Michigan but throughout the Midwest. We have rescued and successfully rehomed over 200 dogs, puppies, and cats. We are not for profit. Our founders and members all have full time jobs in addition to the rescue. We promote sterilization and awareness of the plight of shelter dogs all over the country.

Our Adoption Process...

Serious adopters must submit an Adoption Application, undergo a reference and home check, and if approved, pay an adoption fee that ranges between $150--$300. The adoption fees vary based on how much our rescue has invested in the dog.
