SOPHIA's Story...
Imagine waking up tomorrow with a new best friend who will love you unconditionally forever and ever. She’ll never need a ride to the airport, and you’ll never have to fake a compliment for her latest dance routine or new hairdo. If you ever need to help her move, you’ll just have to grab a couple bowls and a squeaky toy.

Sofia needs a home! She’s a young (1 year old), lovely pitbull mix with plenty of love to give. On any given day, when we walk into the dog room at the shelter, as the pups bark and howl, Sofia is one of the few quiet ones, waiting politely for an explanation of the fuss. She is housebroken and does love to play. She is happy around other dogs but dislikes cats. We found Sofia wandering alone down Anderson Avenue in Fairview. Nobody has come to claim her, so she is available for adoption. Come say hi!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SOPHIA, a Cliffside Park Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cliffside Park, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cliffside Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cliffside Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cliffside Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cliffside Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
