My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Charlotte! I'm very sweet, but also a very shy girl. I'm looking for a forever family who is willing to work with me to be more confident. I so badly want to trust people and will wag my tail when they come by me, but I'm just starting to learn how nice people can be. My foster family is working with me and I am trusting them more each day. They are being very patient with me and I really appreciate that. It's really helping me to see the other dogs in my foster home. I like to play with them and follow them in and out of the house to go potty and play. They share their dog bed and toys with me too!

I am good with cats, am housebroken and sleep quietly in my crate with other dogs nearby, or next to me family. I'm learning to walk on a leash. I do like my treats, so if you give me lots of those I will learn to trust you too! Please come and meet me if you have the time and patience to help me be the relaxed, loving dog that I know I can be.

Charlotte has tested positive for heart worm and will be treated prior to adoption. Interested adopters can come meet her while she is waiting for treatment, and she will be able to go to her adoptive home sometime after treatment.

Adoption Fee: $375

Adoption fees for all dogs/puppies include a $50 refundable training deposit. Complete your basic training program and provide a copy of the certificate within 4 months (120 days) of adoption and we will refund $50 of the original adoption fee.

All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days.

Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. At this time it is necessary to send a request for an application. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application.

We are a group of volunteers with families and jobs, so please be patient and allow a few days for our response.
