Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB May 7, 2011
Gus is an extremely cuddly cat. You will likely find him following you around wherever you go or on your lap, purring. He is definitely not a finicky cat. He begs his foster family for food right alongside the dog.
Gus had to be shaved as his fur was so matted but he is just beautiful and will be even more-so with his long Himalayan hair! Gus also has the most adorable pair of bright blue eyes.
Gus was discovered in a feral cat colony, and it was suspected that he was dumped there. Amazingly, despite that, he is one of the friendliest cats around. Unfortunately, his stint with homelessness led him to contract FIV. Gus is in great health, but will need regular health check-ups in the case of illness.
Gus is a sweet, gentle giant. He would be perfect for a family that is looking for a cuddly, lap cat--and a family that can give Gus the love he obviously deserves!
Gus has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. He does not require medication. He can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (ie. deep bite marks). Please do not judge him based on a blood test!
