My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our apologies to Nod, but we have always wanted to name 3 pups WInkin, Blinkin and Nod! These pups are siblings, whose owner turned them over to rescue. We know they are used to being inside the house and being handled by kids. And their momma is a beautiful black dog, of unknown breed, who weighs about 40-45 pounds. You can tell that these puppies are used to lots of human contact--they are extremely friendly and want to be with you all the time! Nod is a girl, about 9 weeks old, and weighs just over 11 pounds.

Her foster home had this to say: This little gal is SUPER sweet and people focused. She is very smart and comes when called (better than her bigger brothers!); she seems very obedient and eager to please. She is happy to cuddle up and be held, and also plays well with other dogs and children. Not nippy and on her way to being potty trained. (None of these puppies had accidents in the crate and stayed in there all night).

Because she is still a baby, Nod should not be left alone for long hours and will need a stay-at-home person to continue her housebreaking, socialization and general obedience. You can meet Nod at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first. We cannot guarantee that everyone will get their first choice of a puppy, since we often receive several applications on the same pup.

Nod's estimated date of birth is 3-16-15 and her adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, distemper combo and bordetella vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heart worm preventative, microchip and spay.
