My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOON and her lovingly bonded housemate, Mishu, have a very special, very touching story. These gorgeous Siamese sweeties lived all their lives together, best friends. Then, after many years, their owner could not care for them any longer, and they were surrendered at the city shelter. In the shelter they were separated for the first time in their lives.

Well, Mishu and Moons's foster parent decided these sweet, sweet souls would have a happily ever after. Moon arrived first at her foster parent's house, and quickly relaxed in her new, quiet space. Mishu followed a few days later. She was very shy and hesitant when she was taken out of the transport carrier, and so very, very sad. Her foster parent gently lifted her out, and carried Mishu to the bottom cubby of the cat tower, where Moon was curled up.

Mishu stood at the entrance for a few seconds, not believing her eyes. She sniffed and snuffled, and then walked into cubby. Mishu and Moon touched noses, and Mishu's whole body seemed to melt as waves of relief visibly rolled through her body. She made snuff-snuffling sound of relief and joy, and snuggled her whole body as much as she could against Moon's. Their eyes closed, and it seemed for the first time since their ordeal began, they felt safe. At that moment, all that mattered was that they were together again. They stayed like that for several hours, just glued together, resting, with probably the first peaceful dreams they had in a long while.

Moon is a dear sweetie -- so gentle, mild-mannered, and easy-going -- she's an affectionate mush. Moon loves her best friend, Mishu, of course, but she also likes other cats. She's a placid personality, nothing much phases her, and she even gets along with playful kittens (her foster siblings). She's also a bit of a nurturer, and grooms the kittens like a loving auntie.

Moon was born around 7/30/2000, and gets around just fine. She absolutely loves lying by the window in the sparkling sun, watching all the people, birds, and general goings-on outside. She is tidy, and uses her litterbox (uncovered, clumping litter).

Moon is a gentle, sweet, dear one, and deserves a loving, forever home with her best friend, Mishu. If you're reading this far it's clear you are touched by her story, and care about her. Why not take the next step, and adopt Moon and Mishu? They are easy to take care of, and incredibly sweet, and will socialize well with other cat-friendly cats. You can be the special person who is part of their happy ending!
