My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charming Carmelo is a 2-3 year old miniature pinscher mixed with possibly some italian greyhound.He looks like a miniature version of a Viszla but he stands only 13″at the shoulder and weighs 12 lbs.

Sadly Carmelo spent nearly two months at a shelter and but was pulled out in the nick of time on his
euthanasia date. Underweight and coughing,he bounced back in no time and by “bounced”,I mean exactly that!

Carmelo is a mini-athlete extraordinare and apparently tireless.He is a hiker or joggers’ dream come true. He is ALWAYS game for a walk,chasing a ball,anything. He is simply a high energy (not jittery, scared, or nervous) super happy go lucky dog.

Carmelo seems to like everybody: kids, adults, men and women. He gets excited when he sees other dogs at adoption events, so becomes very vocal….something that translates to”hello hello its me
carmello! hello ! letsplay!! woohooo!yayyippee skippy!”

He has gotten much better but still needs further socialization skills. He is super playful with the other small dogs in his foster home. However he is untested w larger dogs and cats. He still needs a little more work on potty training (any dog in a shelter for any length of time will need a refresher course.) But Carmelo is a quick learner and is eager to please. PHOTOS DO NOT DO HIM JUSTICE!!!
