Zane's Story...
Zane is a male Australian Cattle Dog/Akita (?) mix born approximately November 2011 and weighs 75 lbs. Zane’s a XL sized guy who’s looking for his fortunes to be turned around . Adopted 2 years ago major life changing circumstances for his family recently brought him back to NARF. A bit of a shy streak makes him a little reserved with new people. But if you take a minute to make a proper introduction you’ll quickly learn he’s actually a lap dog in disguise with a total weakness for tummy rubs. He has a moderate activity level, enjoys playing with his foster siblings (especially Brooklyn). Does not crate well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane, a San Jose Australian Cattle Dog/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Akita for sale in San Jose, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Akita dog from a breeder in San Jose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Jose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Jose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Akita breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Jose paves the way for another one to be saved.
