My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flynn was found on one of the busiest streets in the city, in a yard where he was eating grass. He was extremely malnourished, poor baby, and was so happy to be rescued that he snuggled right down into his rescuer's lap for the ride home. Probably for the only time in his puppy life, Flynn suddenly had enough to eat, and gained 5 pounds in one week! Flynn is possibly the sweetest guy ever. When we first rescued him, he would to play with his toys, especially his sock monkey - probably the first toys he had ever had. It was so funny to watch him shake it from side to side with his little, quiet growl. Flynn is a good natured boy and likes other dogs and cats, too! He has not met a person he doesn't like and will snuggle up to you to be petted, or roll over for a belly rub - and will climb his way into your lap. Although he is still a puppy, he has probably attained full growth and weighs about 30 lbs, the perfect size for just about any family. He is unusually pretty and combines the good traits of the intelligent sheltie as well as the good-natured lab. He has beautiful white teeth that he shows off very often when he is smiling his endearing smile. He has a very beautiful and soft medium length black fur coat. He hopes that he will find his forever home very soon, and we hope that home might be yours!! If you are interested in Flynn, please email downtowndogsrescue@aol.com. Please note that FLYNN IS BEING FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE, so it will not be possible to meet him prior to adoption. This type of adoption is used by many southern rescues to get our dogs out of high-kill areas where they are abused and neglected, and into areas where there is legislation to protect them and where they are safe and loved. The $450 adoption fee covers the cost of all immunizations, neutering and transport to your area. Please email downtowndogsrescue@aol.com for more information about Flynn and/or the adoption process.
