found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
We have all fallen in love with Star. Her temperament, her ability to learn to trust, and her personality are developing and improving every day. When she first came here, it took 2 kennel techs to bring her outside and now she waits at the front of the kennel and will wag her tail. She would walk behind our kennel techs initially, low to the ground and scared. Now, she will wander off next to you on the leash and even will jog. Her confidence is increasing and she is doing amazing. We have given her vaccinations, drawn blood, and have learned she is very handleable. She is still nervous and timid, but is learning and beginning to trust. It is so awesome to see.
We also know that Star loves other dogs. She is happiest when she is playing! She is great with female and male dogs, large or small. A home with other dogs would be great for Star.
If you have had experience with deaf dogs and would like to adopt Star, please contact us at 219-872-4499 or come on in and see this beautiful girl!
