My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretchen von Geyer is a smaller sized 18 month old German Shepherd. She is the perfect, well-mannered, dream dog. One look at her and she melts! If she knows you are coming over to pet her, she will lay on her back to let you know tummy rubs are her favorite! This housebroken girl knows her commands - sit, stay, lay down and her all time favorite, "paw". Gretchen walks very well on a leash and will sit so you can easily put it on her. Gretchen also sits before meals and treats. She loves toys and will amuse herself playing with them. She fetches a ball, rolls around on the grass (a home with a yard is a must), loves walks and will lounge at your side when you are working at your desk or watching tv. She will alert if someone is at the door but once they come in, she greets them with tail wags and wants to be pet. Gretchen can be an only dog or she can be part of a pack. She is currently in a foster home with a big dog, a small dog and two cats. She is great with kids - teens and young children alike. Gretchen is quiet, mid-low energy dog.
Re cats per foster mom:
Gretchen does really great with one of the cats (in the pictures) because tha cat isn't afraid of her. If there is a cat who will run away or seem scared, Gretchen will chase. She just likes to chase but won't hurt the cats. So, it depends on the cat.
