Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Love and care should not only be reserved for the lucky, but unfortunately, they often are. Meet Walter, a handsome two-year-old German Shephard who arrived at The Arrow Fund with a chain collar deeply embedded in his neck and with numerous tumors on his body.
Once under The Arrow Fund’s care, Walter’s luck began to change. His neck wounds were treated, his tumors removed, and all pathologies were determined to be benign. Walter’s loving and playful nature began to shine.
This big guy truly has a heart of gold. When he sees you, his eyes light up and he nuzzles his face as close to you as he can. If you crouch down beside him, he just might rest his paw on your leg and gaze up at you. In those brown eyes, you will see trust and intelligence…as well as a little bit of mischief and a lot of playfulness.
Walter is the perfect outdoor adventure date. He loves to hike or walk with you, play in the water, bask in the sun, and most importantly, find just the right stick to carry. He’s an excellent car-rider, very easy on a leash, and quick to learn training commands. Walter is happiest when an only pet, but does well with both adults and older children. He is looking for a special family who understands his benign tumors will come back off and on, and will require simple removal surgery when they do.
