Opal's Story...
Opal and his siblings: JoJo, Jemma, Falcon & Romeo where found abandoned and brought to us at Petsmart by a concerned person. They were around 3 weeks old. Since coming into foster they have blossomed into "beautiful swans". Opal is the smallest of the litter but despite her size she is a little spitfire. Shee also loves to run and play with her toys. Wrestling and hide and go seek are fun for all.
Maddie's Pet Adoption Days fee waived adoption event this weekend. Come and see them and lots more Saturday 9-8:30pm, Sunday 9-6:30pm at Petsmart in San Leandro.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a San Leandro Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in San Leandro, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in San Leandro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leandro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leandro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leandro paves the way for another one to be saved.
