Facts about Ricky

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 8589628
  • Hair: Short
Ricky was rescued as a baby off the streets of downtown phoenix. He is FeLV positive so must be either an only cat or with another positive cat. He has been healthy since the day he arrived with a very low viral count. We had hoped that he might reverse but at just 9 months old he remains positive. He is otherwise perfectly healthy and loves to play. He is currently rooming with Callie a female FeLV positive cat and they are a good pair should you want two nice cats:) both cats are gentle and love to play. Please call 602 568 5219 for more info or email me...Mary at mjady04@aol.com Callie can also be seen on our site helpadogsmile.org. Ricky has an adoption fee of $75 or if you want Ricky and Callie their fee is $100 for the pair:)

About Help a Dog Smile

About Our Rescue Group...

Help A Dog Smile is a 501c3 non-profit Arizona corporation and member of PACC911. We are a group of volunteers who all have regular, full time jobs. We are passionate about helping the dogs entrusted to our care and will strive to find the perfect home for each dog. 100% of the funds received goes directly to the medical care of the dogs rescued.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on Saturdays at Petsmart, 7th Avenue & Bell Road in Phoenix 11am - 4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. A nominal fee (usually between $175-$300) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.
