My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walker is an RSGSR dog looking for his forever home. Walker is estimated to be around 2 year old. Luckily, he's about done growing -- he's already huge. He's over 80 pounds of hunky, gorgeous dog!

Walker may be big, but he still has the heart of a young dog -- he will cheerfully try to fit on his person's lap to snuggle like a small pup. We kind of wonder if maybe he's still trying to figure out how to live in that great big body he grew into recently.

Like any young GSD, Walker is very active. He's looking for an active home with energy to match. He's also very strong. As he has not yet had any obedience training, he requires a strong handler while he learns how to be a gentleman on the leash. He's terrifically smart, so we know he'll thrive in a good, positive obedience course.

He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and children, but we don't know about cats. He's loving and playful with dogs of all sizes in his foster home (including a tiny dog). He loves toys of all sorts and would rather go on car rides than stay in the dog park.

He's does not like thunder and finds comfort in his kennel during storms. Walker recently tested positive for heartworms and has started his treatment.

Walker is already house-trained and crate-trained, making him an excellent, easy house dog!

A completed adoption application, with vet and personal references, and a home check are required to adopt Walker. If you are interested in adopting Walker, please fill out an adoption application. All adoptions are approved solely at the discretion of the RSGSR board of directors.
