My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixee is a fabulously friendly dog that would love to find her forever family. She is spunky and playful and loves people. She was a shelter favorite and charmed the staff with her fun-loving personality. They even dressed her up in a pink tutu for a shelter photo. Maybe we need to get her a costume for our photo shoots here because she did not want to pose for us. Guess she prefers the candid shots! What a silly girl! Although Dixee should be an indoor pet she really enjoys time outside with her family. A fenced-in yard would be wonderful. Dixee loves a sunbath and you are sure to see her flop on her back for a good wriggle in the grass. Dixee is crate-trained and housebroken. She is quiet and calm inside and will be happy as a clam to be a part of her family's everyday life. Dixee plays well with our other dogs but would be fine as an only dog. She does well with children. Dixee is 6 years old and weighs 35 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks.
