Tink's Story...
Tink was living alone on the streets until he was picked up by Animal Control and taken to a high kill shelter. His chances of getting out alive were slim due to an old injury. Tink has a lame back leg. He has been evaluated by a couple different vets, both agree its an old injury that does not cause pain. The problem is he doesn't use the leg. Tink is so skinny all of his bones stick out. You can clearly see the hip bone is not where it is supposed to be. He will be evaluated by our vet her in Philly in a few weeks as he is not able to have anesthesia for two more weeks. Tink can be a little funny with other dogs coming near his food. While in his temporary foster home he tried to push a bigger dog away from food. It did not turn out well for him, he suffered a severe head injury. He has made a complete recovery and is almost ready for his forever home. Once he is cleared for anesthesia he will be neutered and we will determine what should be done for his leg. If you are interested in Tink, please email us so we can send an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tink, a Philadelphia Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
