Rufus's Story...
***WE ARE NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME FOR RUFUS***

Rufus is a 6 yr old Cockapoo male and weighs about 18 lbs. He originally lost his home 2 years ago and came to Happy Tails to be adopted to a new home. Unfortunately, the new owners found themselves in a situation that they had to send him back to us....so here he is again looking for his forever home.
Rufus is a wonderful dog and very laid back. He loves going for walks and does very well in the car, but his favourite thing is a comfy couch and a good movie with his human.
Rufus is neutered and up to date on shots.
Donation for adoption is $350

If you believe you can give this boy his forever home, please contact Judianne@happytailsrescue.ca for an application.

*homes must be within a 2 hr driving range of the Toronto/Niagara area as we do all our own home visits with our dogs

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Mississauga Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo for sale in Mississauga, or seeking a Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Mississauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mississauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mississauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo breeders who help with Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mississauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
