Cole is a very handsome young man. He was found wandering the streets of Phoenix malnourished and scared. He readily responded to the Good Samaritan who offered him a ride, cool water & some food! After a week of waiting for an owner to surface and having the boy posted everywhere, it was surmised that he had been abandoned. We are so grateful to his finder for making an effort to help him and keep him safe.
We do not know the history of this boy but based on his reactions and body language, we feel this boy did not have the best of lives and was not treated well at all. He is afraid of things and will stop dead in his tracks if something scares him, poor pup. He has overcome many of his fears and is a very happy boy. He loves to play and run in the yard. He is very good on walks at Lowes & Home Depot. It is too hot to walk our giants this time of year unless between 5-7 AM.
This boy is not for the faint of heart!!! Cole loves to drink water then come over and put his big ole jowly head in your lap... Ewe!!! He is definitely a couch potato so if you are not willing to share the couch or a futon, this is not the boy for you! Given that we do not know his background, we will not be placing him with children. He is still cautious in unfamiliar situations so he would do best with someone who can do positive reinforcement and continue to help him be the best that he can be! With continued training and the stability of his own home, he will blossom into a wonderful boy as he has a good heart.
