Avon's Story...
This sweet little girl was found inside the engine of a truck… after it had driven several miles to the gas station! What a ride! Fortunately, she wasn’t hurt, but it does take her a minute to warm up to people and other animals. However, when she does, she will melt in your arms and purr up a storm. She will be your best friend for life. She loves to sleep on her back and have her tummy rubbed -- soft and slow. Her eyes are gorgeous and uniquely expressive and her smile will melt your heart. She is fostered in Huntsville, AL, up to date on vaccines, spay, micro-chipped, dewormed and examined by a vet. You can complete an application for her online at http://www.forrescue.net/cat-application/. Apps are reviewed in the order they are received so fill out your app for Yvonne today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Avon, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
