Salsa's Story...
Hi there! My name's Salsa! I'm around 3 months old, and they are guessing I'm a terrier / corgi mix. My mom had an accidental litter, and her owners were unable to keep us puppies, so here we are at the shelter. My two siblings (Chacha & Tango) look much more like corgi's than I do, but we are all from the same litter. Unfortunately I was not well socialized prior to coming to the shelter, so I am very shy. I will need help overcoming my fears, is that something you can help me with? With some time and patience will warm up and am a real cuddle bug.

Since I am such a young puppy, please make sure you have the time and patience to devote to my care and training before adopting me. If you are interested in learning more about me please email or call the shelter. Appointments must be made in order to meet me. The shelter number is 724-925-2555.

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Salsa, a Youngwood Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi puppy from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
