My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Sara is a miracle kitty. The miracle is that she is alive and thriving. She was abandoned to fend for herself in the hills at a popular dog walking park. In danger from unleashed dogs and predators, she was also starving, so thin her hip bones and ribs stuck out. A park ranger found Sara and was able to pick her up and transfer her to an animal shelter. Because of her condition, she appeared sick and would have been euthanized. But a Dusty Paws volunteer had witnessed her rescue from the park and Dusty Paws pulled Sara from the shelter to give her a chance.

A veterinary exam confirmed Sara was neither old nor sick - except for being underweight, she was a young cat in good health. In her first week in foster care, she ate hungrily and gained back more than 10 % of her body weight. She has a good appetite and will soon be back to normal.

Her foster mom says that Sara is quite the talker and also purrs up a storm. She is a very friendly cat who warms up to strangers right away. She likes to curl up in her blanket but will curl up in your lap if you put her there. She will nuzzle her face into your hand as you're petting her, and will favor you with licks if you pet her in her favorite spot.

Sara is safe. All she needs now is a permanent loving home.
