Kalea's Story...
Kalea is an absolutely wonderful dog! This girl is happy all the time and loves everyone she meets! Kalea is about 2 years old, 17 pounds of love. We pulled Kalea from a shelter where she had been surrendered with her newborn pups. Poor girl was so scared but through all of that turmoil and chaos she was still wagging her tail and giving kisses. Kalea has been around kids and does wonderful....also great with other dogs! This girl is incredible and will bring a great deal of joy to the lucky family who chooses her! Kalea is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Kalea to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out the online application or download one and return it!

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Papillon/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
