Facts about Wonder $2000

  • Breed: Thoroughbred
  • Color: Bay
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large
  • Sex: Female
"Lil Wonder" 2005 OTTB mare standing 15.1 hands goes in english or western tack in the ring or on the trail with confidence / no spooking issues. She has a solid WTC and has been recently started over crossrails. Has been introduced to the show ring in dressage and cross rail classes. Wonder is green, but quiet and willing with 3 correct gaits. With a coach or trainer to help her progress, she would excel with an intermediate + rider. She's very quiet on the ground, meaning your beginner friends/kids will be able to handle her easily for grooming, leading, loading, and lunging.

A barn favorite, Wonder will greet you at gate every time she sees you, even if you just finished riding her thirty minutes earlier! Come see her and try her for yourself.

Wonder also excels on trails and is confident riding alone or with others. She has been ridden near traffic and across water.

Current on basic vaccines, dewormed, Coggins, dental care, and hoof care all up to date. Microchipped and ready to shine in her new home. $2000, potentially negotiable to the ideal home. Seneca, SC.

About CARE - Crossroads Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

CARE was founded to decrease euthanasias in Oconee County, SC. We primarily aquire animals from the local animal control. Most of these pets would be euthanized if we did not take them. Once in our program, they are adopted out through us or transfered to another rescue/shelter where they are not at risk for euthanasia.
We work primarily with puppies and kittens as this is the age group most likely to be euthanized at our local animal control.
Our equine rescues are primarily neglect cases from animal control. We design feeding programs for them to gain weight back safely, provide hoof care, and treat any medical problems. Once healthy enough to adopt, we find them loving homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come to 8409 W. Oak Hwy, Seneca, SC anytime during business hours to meet our on-site pets. Our on-site pets are primarily puppies in the 4-6 month range and all ages of kittens and cats. To meet a pet in a foster home (this includes most young puppies as well as most adult dogs and all the horses), call or email to schedule a time. We will arrange to have the dogs/puppies brought to the clinic for you to meet or arrange for you to go to the foster home where the horse is staying.
We periodically have adoption events where we take some of our adoptable pets. Follow us on Facebook to learn of adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

To adopt a pet from CARE, contact us and give us the information for our adoption application. This can be via phone or by going to our website, downloading the adoption application, and filling it out and emailing it to us.
Once we receive your application, we will contact your vet references and review the application to approve you. This can usually be done on the same day you apply. Sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt.
You may meet our onsite pets prior to filling out the application if you prefer. For off site pets, we do request an approved application before scheduling a meeting.
To adopt after being approved, you simply pay the adoption fee and take your new family member home! You may adopt over the phone and then schedule to travel to meet your new pet. Adopting over the phone does require paying the adoption fee which is non-refundable if you change your mind about adopting.
Adoption fees vary depending on which pet you are interested in. These are often listed on the pet's profile but if not, feel free to email or call to ask.
We are available for phone calls weekdays 8a-5p and Saturdays 8a-Noon. You will reach the receptionist for Crossroads Animal Hospital which is the vet hospital who founded CARE. After working hours, we can be reached via email which is usually checked daily but may take up to 48 hours for a reply.
