Katie's Story...
Katie came from Silver Maple Trailer Park where she and her littermate was living under an abandoned trailer. The man who owned her, her sister Gracie, and her mother Phoebe, passed away in early April of this year and his wife was taken to a nursing home leaving no one to care for them except for an elderly neighbor who no longer wanted the job. All 3 of them are long haired, vetted and very pretty sweet cats.
Katie has been spayed, brought current on her vaccines, bathed, de-wormed treated for fleas with Revolution and looking for an inside home.
Katie is a beautiful white and light tan tabby with long hair. She is very sweet, although a bit shy at first, she will walk around your legs, weaving in and out, and doesn't mind being picked up.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Harrisburg Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
