Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smokey is a beautiful gray/black poodle who is about 2-3 years old. He weighs 15 lbs. He is shy and reserved but good with dogs while off leash. On leash, though, is a different story. He is aggressive with other dogs and cats on the leash. Smokey is housetrained and a super sweet couch potato kind of a dog, very affectionate and loving. He also has some resource guarding issues and is very protective of his person. He may bark when left alone or when someone is at the door; over all he is a well-trained obedient dog. He has a bit of separation anxiety which the foster is working on. he is very resistant to being crated when left alone and nothing they have done so far has helped him to tolerate his crate when left alone. If he is unconfined he is better. Smokey needs a savvy owner who knows how to integrate him into their home and who can provide structure and training. He is mellow and low energy and a great dog in the home but he does need help outside of the home.
