KIWI's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

KIWI's Story...
KIWI was pulled from Pender shelter by CCR because she was overlooked for adoption due to her skin problems. Kiwi has to take Apoquel twice a day for slight skin allergies and it works very well to keep her comfortable and to keep her allergies under control. She has been spayed, is up to date on shots, has been wormed and is on monthly heartworm prevention. The vet and vet techs said that she was the absolute sweetest dog that they have ever met. Kiwi is about 7 years old. She is SUPER friendly and sweet and she loves all people and most all dogs and even does great with cats. She loves to go for short walks and she walks great on a leash. Once her walk is over she is very content to go to her soft bed and take a nap while you watch TV, but she would prefer to snuggle on the sofa with you and keep you warm. Kiwi is house trained and crate trained and does not bark so she would be great for an apartment or condo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KIWI, a Wilmington Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
