My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Foxy Camille. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs.
I was found running as a stray and was picked up by the pound.
I was named Camille here at the pound originally, but someone that recognized me from the neighborhood called in and told the pound my name is Foxy, which I do respond to somewhat. I will usually just came to whatever you call me because I love attention now days!!
I seemed to be in good shape when I was picked up, aside from my neck!! I must have been tied up and my collar cut into my neck on the bottom and the top and sides were rubbed raw. It was infected but after getting it cleaned up and and put on some meds, it healed up great! I do still have a decent scar on my neck from the whole ordeal, which may, or may not regrow hair in time.
I wear a harness here at the pound because I am much more comfortable being walked and hooked up to a leash when I have the harness on as opposed to a collar. I do not really like people trying to grab my collar when I wear one. I kind of panic like I don't know what is going to happen to me. I think I am still frightened that my neck is going to get hurt again!
I used to be a really timid and shy girl when I arrived here, but I am really leaning how to trust people and I'm finding out how nice some humans can be.
I really like other dogs, but I need time to get to know them first because meeting new dogs for me is a little bit scary initially. I really like dogs that will let me have my space and will let me sniff and get to know them before we mingle. If they get up in my face and scare me before I get to know them, I can get a little snappy. I do love puppies, though, which I realize may be a little contradictory to my behavior with adults. Once I know the other dog(s), I am a very happy girl with them. I LOVE to play with the other dogs.
I keep my kennel clean at night and I don't mess when I am in the office, so I may have been a house dog at one point in time.
If you're looking for a super sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER MAY 28, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
