Gilbert's Story...
Here's Gilbert. This handsome boy is a little over 6 years old and is a Lab mix. Gilbert is in need of a loving forever home. He was surrendered to the shelter but is looking for his new lease on life. Gilbert is calm and enjoys spending time outside. He is a smart boy. He knows sit and is gentle with treats. He likes to be with people and loves the opportunity to sit right by your side and enjoy your company. We think Gilbert would do best in a home with older children and he would like to be the only dog in the household. He would love a chance to prove himself and show you love. Are you interested in giving Gilbert a chance to love again? It would mean the world to him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gilbert, a Janesville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Janesville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Janesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Janesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Janesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Janesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
