Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is a story of survival. Here in the south these dogs are prized hunting dogs. HOWEVER, if something happens to them they are threw out like a soda can on the side of the road. Hemi was found by one of our kind neighbors literally in the middle of nowhere. He was starved (nothing but bones and skin), dehydrated, and could barely stand up and walk. He was so happy to see a human that day that he ran to her car, tail wagging and tongue licking! She immediately rushed him to us. We put him on fluids and a special diet for a few days and he bounced back like the trooper he is.
We noticed a limp on his right front leg which we are quite sure was the reason he was dumped in the middle of nowhere. We then brought him in for x-rays. He had an old injury which was not tended to and he will always have a little limp. It does not slow him down a bit! He's a big boy so we have him on joint medication. He runs like a jack rabbit and is not hindered at all.
Hemi is a young 3 years and has a long wonderful life ahead of him! He is neutered, heart worm negative and up to date on all of his shots. He is positively the sweetest most lovable big boy you will ever meet. Won't you please give him the loving caring home that he so deserves? His adoption fee is $350.
