Life was really not that great for me, ever. I had people, but they kept me chained up all the time. I wore the grass down until I was just living in dirt all the time. Sometimes dogs would come see me, sometimes I ended up having puppies. I don't know where my puppies went, I just know that I never went anywhere. But at least I had food and a dog house.
And then one day things got much, much worse. My people moved away and forgot to take me off my chain and take me with them. No food, no water, I thought I might die on that chain.
A white truck with a cage came and took me away. The people put me in a kennel with a concrete floor. But really is was not much worse than living in dirt, and now there was no chain dragging behind me. The other dogs barked a lot and sometimes I sensed fear, but there was food, water, and people came to visit and talk to me through the fence.
And then I was taken from that place and put in a house. IN A HOUSE. Not chained to a dog house. I live in an actual house and there is never a chain on me. Sometimes I have a leash, but that is okay because in this house when you wear a leash it means you are going somewhere FUN! in this house you never wear a chain and you are never tied up.
I love playing with the other dogs at this house. I even love playing with the cats (I'm careful with them I promise) I like car rides, and walks, and toys, and snuggling. After life on a chain my favorite thing in the world is to RUN. Just give me a safe fenced place and let me go!
I'm not really sure how I feel about little kids, but I like older kids just fine.
I have very good house manners, I'm polite when we go out places, I'm patient when strangers pet me. I'm a good girl.
I could stay in this house for the rest of my life. But I know that I'm supposed to move on to a forever home so my foster mom can help some more dogs like me. It will be hard to leave, but i'm ready.
My name is Estelle and I think I might be the perfect dog for you. If you think so too, please fill out an application at www.savingtheanimalstogether.org and tell them Estelle sent you.
